These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern use of the SubmitLock Wix application provided by RenewalHub SA ("we", "us"). By installing or using SubmitLock, the Wix site owner ("you") agrees to these Terms.
1. Service
SubmitLock lets a Wix site owner configure selected Wix Forms so that a normalized email address is generally accepted once per protected form and later attempts using the same normalized email address are rejected while the corresponding duplicate-protection record remains active.
SubmitLock is a form-duplicate control, not an identity-verification, anti-fraud, anti-bot or spam-prevention service.
2. Limitations of email-based duplicate prevention
A visitor may bypass email-based duplicate detection by using a technically different email address, alias or account. SubmitLock intentionally does not apply provider-specific rules such as removing Gmail dots or plus aliases.
You should not use SubmitLock as the sole control for a legal identity check, payment entitlement, regulated eligibility decision, security boundary, or high-risk fraud-prevention process.
3. Availability and fail-open behavior
To reduce the risk that an app outage prevents legitimate Wix Forms from working, SubmitLock may allow a submission when its own duplicate-validation process encounters an unexpected internal or platform error. As a result, SubmitLock cannot guarantee that every duplicate will be blocked in all circumstances.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- your Wix site and Wix Forms configuration;
- the content and legality of forms you publish;
- required notices, consent and lawful processing of information collected from visitors;
- choosing which form and email field SubmitLock protects;
- deciding whether an email should be reset and allowed to submit again;
- complying with laws and Wix terms applicable to your use.
5. Plans and billing
SubmitLock may offer Free and paid plans. Paid plans are purchased and billed through Wix Billing according to the prices and billing periods displayed in Wix. Wix's billing, cancellation, refund and tax mechanisms apply where relevant.
Features available to a site may change automatically if the site upgrades or downgrades its SubmitLock plan. A downgrade may leave additional configured rules stored but inactive until the site upgrades again.
6. Changes to the service
We may improve, modify or discontinue app features where reasonably necessary for security, Wix platform changes, legal compliance or product operation. We will aim not to materially reduce paid functionality during a prepaid billing period without reasonable cause.
7. Intellectual property
SubmitLock, its software, branding and original documentation are owned by or licensed to the publisher. These Terms give you a limited right to use the service through Wix; they do not transfer ownership of the app or source code.
8. Disclaimers
SubmitLock is provided on an "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, perfect duplicate detection, or suitability for a purpose for which simple email-based duplicate detection is insufficient.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising solely from use of SubmitLock, including loss caused by an unblocked duplicate or a legitimate submission being temporarily rejected.
Any mandatory consumer or other statutory rights remain unaffected.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using SubmitLock by disabling rules or uninstalling the app. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security threats, legal requirements, non-payment through Wix, or material violations of these Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, subject to any mandatory consumer or other legal protections that apply in the user's jurisdiction.
